I finished Memnoch 2 days ago.
At one point it felt very slow in progressing and connecting to the Lestat we all know and love. Chapter 18 is where it really picks up in excitement and anticipation of what is to come. And now I understand better the meaning of Armand's desire towards the end of his book too, as it is connected here. And the significance of Veronica's veil. Yes, it all makes perfect sense to me now.
